We are seeking a Manager Application Integration & Database to join the staff at our Washington, DC or Newark, Delaware location. In this first line manager usually reporting to an IT division level manager role, you will be responsible for design, implementation, operation and maintenance of IT infrastructure or systems, or delivery of IT services. Work independently and exercises tactical decision making to achieve goals and objectives. Manage supervisors or senior staff. Provide input for IT policy and the IT governance process. Apply knowledge of IT principles and processes to develop tactical plans that meet business objectives. Direct resources to execute plans; monitors and reports progress. Represent IT on management teams and committees addressing tactical issues. Act on behalf of the division manager as required.

Requirements |
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent combination of formal education, training, and/or experience.
Experience demonstrating skill managing the engineering and support of corporate applications and databases, to include:
oExperience demonstrating skill managing the implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of multiple complex, multi-tiered, corporate-wide applications;
oExtensive knowledge of corporate infrastructure components, including workstations, servers, disk storage, databases, and networks; and
oExtensive experience demonstrating skill managing corporate IT contingency operations, application integration, and software distribution in a Windows environment.
Extensive experience demonstrating skill managing IT application and database controls (e.g., production transfers, control monitoring, and documentation).
Experience demonstrating skill coordinating the resolution of multi-departmental or multi-vendor application problems escalated from lower support levels.
Experience demonstrating skill supervising employees working at multiple locations, to include coaching, hiring, firing, performance appraisals, etc.
Ability and willingness to work extended hours or modified schedule for planned or emergency work.
Ability and willingness to travel to various Company locations on occasional basis.
Ability and willingness to carry a cell phone and be on call (e.g., respond to support issues).
Must successfully pass a Criminal History Records Check.
Must possess a valid driver's license.
Preferred:
Experience demonstrating skill managing the engineering and support of the SAP basis environment.
Experience demonstrating skill supporting mainframe and Oracle databases.
