Description

World Wildlife Fund (WWF), the global conservation organization, seeks an Assistant Controller to oversee the accounting, internal controls and operations for its D.C. headquarters and international offices. The incumbent will manage all activities and reporting within the General Ledger, Payables and Revenue areas. Additional responsibilities include audit coordination and the maintenance of process integrity. The successful candidate will provide high-level support to the Controller, along with other financial and programmatic managers.


Requirements

A Bachelors degree in accounting or business is required. CPA and/or MBA is strongly preferred. Eight (8) years of accounting experience including accounts payable and general ledger work, and at least 5 years of management experience is also required. Spanish Fluency and experience with Oracle Financial software is preferred. The successful candidate will have excellent accounting and communication skills, the ability to work well independently, oversee the work of others, and function effectively as a team member.
