DIA is a Department of Defense combat support agency and an important member of the United States Intelligence Community. DIA provides military intelligence to warfighters, defense policymakers and force planners in the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community. Its vital intelligence work supports U.S. military planning and operations and weapon systems acquisition.
The Defense Intelligence Agency relies on a variety of Human Capital Management personnel to safeguard the nation and its citizens by developing, implementing, maintaining and evaluating policies, procedures and practices and performing other critical tasks to attract, hire, motivate and retain outstanding talent within DIA.
Description of Opportunity:
Human Capital Management professionals ensure that all Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) personnel support conditions are in place by helping to design, deliver and manage human capital management programs and services. They conduct specialized program services, including position evaluation and classification. They recruit, select and retain a highly talented and diverse workforce and determine appropriate pay. They also plan, develop and implement employee development and instructional programs and establish and monitor effective systems for performance review and setting of expectations. Human Capital Management professionals also provide workforce planning and analysis, and advise others on how to maintain collaborative work relationships. Several opportunities exist in regard to fulfilling these duties and responsibilities including Human Capital Management, Human Resources Management, and General Education and Training.

Requirements |
Required Experience: Qualified Human Capital Management candidates bring with them to DIA related human resources experience and/or a bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited college or university. Candidates must also be able to originate and lead department practices and objectives; provide an employee-oriented, high-performance culture; emphasize empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce; coordinate the implementation of services, policies and programs through staff members; and, assist and advise DIA executives about human capital issues.
Required Education: Baccalaureate or advanced degree from an accredited college or university.
